It is an elegant 12th-century building that in 1249 hosted the Chapter while the Cathedral was under restoration. Built in Lombard style, the front of the building is adorned with a perfectly circular window, in which eight small columns converge toward the central ring. San Carlo is one of the most beautiful 13th-century jewels that Todi offers to visitors. The portal, the rose window, and the bell tower with two overlapping triforiums reveal a simple elegance and, at the same time, a stern beauty. It is possible to visit the interior, which is striking for the light that filters only through the rose window, its distinctive feature being the step that separates the faithful from the ministers of the cult. The altar has always maintained its original "pre-Tridentine" position in the center of the presbytery.
