For reaching the historic center of Todi, there is an elevator available from Porta Orvietana, as well as shuttle buses that depart from the square near the Temple of Consolation. These services make it easier for visitors to access the charming and elevated medieval town center without the need to climb the steep streets.
FLIXBUS is the bus service for national transportation from Pian di Porto, while awaiting the restoration of the railway. This service offers a convenient option for travelers looking to move between Todi and other cities in Italy.

NO GOOD
GESENU, the company responsible for waste collection, only collects organic waste two days a week (Monday and Thursday). If you miss those days (due to absence or forgetfulness), you’re out of options: there are no designated drop-off points, and the Ponterio ecological island does not accept organic waste, which is otherwise collected door-to-door. The final blow is the cost of TARI (the waste tax), which is among the highest in Italy.
The tangles of external electric wires that decorate the walls of houses, and sometimes even cross the streets, might evoke a certain historic charm but also raise safety concerns. They’re an issue not only for the risks they pose but also for the aesthetic impact. It’s truly ironic to see this messy setup while work is underway to add fiber optics.
In this beautiful natural area near San Damiano, you can see what I’d call a “photovoltaic museum.” I'm astonished at how this "artist" (or “artist corporation”) could have received authorization for such extensive installations stretching across kilometers.
The beauty of Piazza Garibaldi is marred by parked cars. The stunning Roman Nicchioni are hidden behind vehicles. Is it really impossible to do without cars, even in these “nerve centers” of the city? It seems even the people of Todi aren’t willing to park more than 50 meters away!
It's disheartening to see not only the churches of Todi in a state of near neglect but also the Tempio della Consolazione, one of the most important monuments of the Italian Renaissance. Where is the oversight of the Superintendency? And what about ETAB?
